Speech: Navigating the Digital Frontier – UTB

I’m pleased to receive an appreciation plaque from Dr. Hasan Al Mulla, President of University of Technology Bahrain (UTB) for my work in inspiring innovation through technology and networking.

During the event, I delivered a speech on navigating the digital frontier, delving into the positive and negative effects of technologies such as blockchains and AI on our habits and adaptation, and how they can work together to create significant value.

The event brought together authors of the “Accelerating Entrepreneurship” book, including myself. The success of the event is thanks to the excellent organization by Chris Coutts, Amer Bittar, Dr. Rania Nafea, and Abdulrahim Abdulla Fakhroo.

I also want to shout out Mohamed Nass, my fellow speaker, who spoke about how innovation impacts the manufacturing sector.

Interview: Can NFTs Still Survive?

CryptoKamal, a well-known author and crypto influencer from the Kingdom of Bahrain, interviewed me about the future of NFT technologies and to clear up some misconceptions about their impact, use cases, and potential.

The interview was recorded in different stages. This part of the interview focuses on the following subjects:

  • Defining an NFT (Non-Fungible Token).
  • Exploring the primary NFT standards and their potential applications.
  • Examining the existing varieties of NFT technologies.
  • Addressing the challenges confronting the industry and proposing potential solutions.
  • Dispelling the misconception that NFTs are merely JPEG images.

Summit: The Startups Submit for the On Startups Book

On the 17th of February 2021, I have joined with five of my fellow co-authors, Mohamed Isa, Ameen Altajer, Eman Deabil, Nehal El Naggar, and Abandi Abdulla, who contributed to the book: On Startups, at “The Startups Summit” organized by Axelerate Academy.
I briefly addressed my chapter, How to Think as a Brand, and clarified some common misconceptions about some branding principles.

Summit: Innovation in the Gaming Sector – Bahrain Game Jam

Joined an online discussion panel entitled “Innovation in the Gaming Sector”, along with two outstanding entrepreneurs, Mr. Dhafer AlQahtani founder of Bedayatech platform and Mr. Theab AlDossary Founder of Feelix Technologies. The event was part of Bahrain Game Jam 2020 arranged by Unreal Bahrain.

Founder Institute Bahrain Chapter

Role: Local Director (Feb 2019 – July 2019)

Main Responsibilities:

  • Founded the Founder Institute program in Bahrain along with four other Local Directors.
  • Established the entire roadmap and structure for the program in Bahrain in association with FI HQ in Silicon Valley.
  • Responsible for planning, managing, and executing the entire marketing efforts including designing strategies, ads, and press releases.
  • Responsible for hiring, evaluating and managing FI local mentors.
  • Planning, designing, and executing three successful FI events in Bahrain.
  • Handling the applicants funnel and planning communication strategies for founder conversion.

Events:

  • Event 1: Founder Institute Bahrain Startup Idea Bootcamp: How to Evaluate Your ideas – June 12th 2019 featuring Hamza Al Ghatam, Fatima Al Mansoori and Mohamed Darwish.
  • Event 2: How to Build Your First Product in Manama – June 26th 2019 featuring Hassan Al Mohsen and Hamza Al Ghatam. In this event, i have presented the FI model to all the participants.
  • Event 3: Bahrain Speed Mentoring, Get Startup Feedback from Exprets – July 10th 2019 featuring Hassan Al Mohsen, Nabeel Radhi, Hamza Al Ghatam, Salem Al Arrayed, and Salah Abuidrees. In this event, i have presented the FI model to all the participants.

Speech: Entrepreneurship Day – Kingdom University

It was a pleasure being part of this great initiative by Kingdom University to spread awareness about entrepreneurship and developing startups through research. Special thanks to Dr. Mohamed Jameel KU president, Prof. Saad Darwish and Mr. Mohamed Isa for hosting such promising events. Special thanks as well to OnStartups book authors for accepting the invitation and contributing in this great initiative by providing their expertise to the new generation of startups.

2017-AES-Annual-Bowling-Competition

Events: AES Annual Bowling Competition 2017 for AES

Planned, designed, coordinated, and executed the entire event “2017 AES Annual Bowling Competition” for 80+ employees in Dana Mall Bowling Center, Bahrain.

  • Planned and coordinated the entire event from finding the best location, booking the hall, designing the competition and materials to food choice and final arrangements.
  • Designed 2 flex banners 400cm x 200cm, and 350cm x 200cm with a slogan “Together we achieve”.
  • Designed 80+ 3BD vouchers for 7Kitchen restaurant in Dana mall having the events details, location, date and area for the restaurant to write down the final amount.
  • Purchased hats with 7 colors for the 7 groups participating in the competition.
  • Prepared music list for the entire event.
  • Designed a trophy for the winning team.

AES-Event-all

Events: AES Annual Employee Gathering 2016

Planned, designed, coordinated, and implemented the entire event for 120+ employee in Elite Resort and Spa (Bahrain).

  • Planned and coordinated the entire event from finding the best location, initial contact and booking the hall, to food choice and final arrangements.
  • Designed 2 flex banners 400cm x 200cm, and  350cm x 200cm with a slogan “Together we achieve”.
  • Designed tickets for 120+ employees having the events details, location, schedule, and ticket number for raffle.
  • Designed 130 T-shirts for giveaways having the AES logo, employee slogan “Together we achieve”, and the event name in the front, and AES slogan “Consulting Architects & Engineers Since 1978” with AES ISO statement “ISO Certified Company” on the back.
  • Designed 9 trophies for honoring AES employees who worked in AES for more than 15 years.
